When I first met Kate in 1988, I soon realised that she was part of a close-knit family and if she was going to be my friend, I needed to get to know her mum too! Bobbie was a wonderful hostess and always welcomed us into her home in Shenley then in Hatfield and I have fond memories of us all crowding in together for games nights, meals and barbecues. She always had a listening ear and a hug when you needed one, everyone's favourite glamorous granny! 

My favourite memory of Bobbie though will always be of the night at Jesus '91 when she responded to the gospel message and went forward to give her life to Jesus, such joy!
